Report an error

If a figure here disagrees with the office that publishes it, the office is right and this site is wrong. Tell us and it gets fixed and dated.

What to send

Three things make a report checkable in a minute rather than an afternoon: the page you were on, the figure you think is wrong, and where you saw the right one. If the figure carried a record id — they look like au.duty.nsw.transfer — that is the most useful thing you can include, because it names the exact record and the exact source page.

What happens next

The record is re-read at the publishing office. If it has changed, the record's figures and its lastVerified date change with it, the change appears on the changelog with the date it took effect, and every page computed from it moves in the same commit. If it has not changed, you get a reply saying what was read and where, so you can check the reading rather than take our word for it.

What this is not

It is not advice, and a reply is not a second opinion on your own circumstances. It is one address read by the person who maintains the records, currently 2 figures short of complete — those are withheld rather than guessed, and are listed on sources. There is no support desk behind it and no promise about how fast.

One thing about privacy

Everywhere else on this site, nothing you type is stored — the URL carries your figures and nothing else does. Email is different, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise: an email sits in an inbox. Send the figure and the page, not your salary.
